How do I Become a Small Group Leader?

A group leader needs to be a born again Christian that has been water baptized. He or she must also be baptized in the Holy Spirit, or seeking to be.

Other qualifications include:

  • Faithful in church attendance
  • Faithful in small group attendance
  • Faithful in tithing
  • Not living with a member of the opposite sex that is NOT a relative
  • Has completed the process of the Encounter, Journey classes, Discovery 1-3 classes
  • Leadership recommendation
  • Complete and submit Leadership Application Form

How do I Find a Small Group?

You can find a small group by using the small group search feature on this website. A printable, PDF version of the Small Group Directory is also available on the website. Or you can pick up a Small Group Directory in the foyer of the Main Sanctuary at any church service.

What if I Want to Try Several Groups Before I Commit?

We understand that the dynamics of each group varies, so we encourage people to visit different groups until you find one where you connect.

Are the Groups Gender Specific or Co-Ed? Can I Bring My Husband/Wife?

Most of our current small groups are gender specific groups. We do have some Couples groups for married or engaged couples to attend only. Couples groups must be attended with your spouse or engaged partner.

Do I Have to Be a Member of Trinity to Attend a Small Group?

You do not have to be a member of Trinity to attend a group. We encourage you to invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and relatives to the group, regardless of whether they attend TCI or not.

How Long is a Normal Group Meeting?

A normal group meeting will usually last about 1 hour.

Is There Childcare?

There is no childcare available for small groups.

Can I Receive Counseling at a Small Group?

A small group is not a place to come and receive counseling. Counseling can be received by contacting the church office for an appointment.
