20/20 Continuing the Vision Stewardship Campaign
What is the 20/20 Vision?
20/20 Vision is part of Trinity's strategy for reaching the next generation for Christ. It is part of our overall master plan to facilitate our mission to reach our community, our nation, and the world with the gospel through cell groups, missions, specialized ministry, and personal spiritual development.
What are the major components of 20/20 Vision?
There are two major components. First, to complete the building of our Youth Worship Center and multipurpose complex. Second, to foster the growth and expansion of our youth ministries, children's ministries, and our Christian Academy.
How much money is needed to complete the project?
$9,000,000.00 (nine million dollars).
The "Continuing the Journey" stewardship campaign involves commitments to the 20/20 Vision over a three year period which began in November of 2009 and ends in November of 2012. Commitments from 529 people totaled $2,705,323.61 to be given over the three year period.
As of June 2011, a total of $859, 469.04 has been given! Praise God for His provision. This leaves a total of $1,845,854.57 remaining in pledges.
We have broken the project into two phases.
- Phase 1 - $1.8M – Construction of the gymnasium, cafeteria, and youth worship area.
- Phase 2 - $4.5M – Construction of meeting rooms, a fully equipped professional kitchen, locker rooms, and fitness center.
What uses will the Youth Worship Center have?
It will be a multipurpose complex with a gym, classrooms, meeting rooms, cafeteria, full commercial kitchen, and fully equipped auditorium platform. Some of its uses will be:
- A cafeteria for our church and Academy
- Classrooms for our Christian education needs and our Academy
- A state-of-the art worship center for our youth and young adult ministries
- A fully equipped gymnasium for sporting events and recreational activities
- Space to facilitate seminars, banquets, and large social gatherings
- To serve the community in the event of hurricanes, emergencies, and other tragedies
How can I get involved in the 20/20 Vision, Continuing the Journey campaign?
Trinity has never been a high-pressure Church; we have simply shared our vision and let the Lord move on hearts. Our approach has not changed. First, we are asking you to pray – for wisdom and direction for Pastor and the staff in days ahead. Second, we are asking you to pray and ask the Lord to show you how you can help financially to accomplish this vision. Commit to the goal that the Lord puts in your heart and give cheerfully as He provides.
